A world filled with children’s laughter
A boy who could not reach it
Sits alone on an empty chair, making a small sound

A guide for the journey appears from the darkness
After hesitation, the boy takes his hand
And steps into an unknown world

An enraged rhinoceros
A melancholic swan and peacock
A panda and other animals confused about their identities

Through encounters with these lacking animals
The boy collides, dances with them
And learns to breathe together

On the barren land
The sacrifice of a turtle who gave itself
Awakens new life
And at the end, flowers bloom

Among the lives reborn
Star-flowers spread across the sky
Within the breath of love
The boy finally realizes

That we all
Were already shining beings

TanzB Contemporary Dance Company

「TanzB Contemporary Dance Company」, founded in 2015, is a project group that pursues dance-theatre works integrating dance, theater, and sound. Their work is characterized by “visualizing music” through physical movement, and they are known for researching and experimenting with a convergent and accessible approach to the arts. They also expand and diversify their artistic activities by modernizing traditional Korean culture and collaborating with disability groups, striving to cultivate an inclusive art culture where people coexist together.

Their major works include the 2019 Korea Dance Awards piece Dance Drama『Wildfire』, the musicals 『Emergency』,『Companion』,『Stories of the Women in the Painting』, 『Our Story Oh! Brothers』, and choreography for『JeBe Nojeonggi』 by the Sorikkot Gagokdan, a group that won the Gold Prize at the 21st Century Korean Music Project, among others.

Becoming my arms,

becoming my laughter,
becoming my tears,
as you came to resemble my voice
and my thoughts,
I came to realize how beautiful you were.

W2 Project

「W2 Project」is a collaborative project group led by choreographer Sunsik Yoo, working with a diverse range of PERFORMERS to continue flexible and experimental artistic approaches on stage. This year, performance artist Sungkuk Kang, known for his distinctive bodily narrative, is paired with a new partner, presenting an intimate harmony in which two beings merge into a single flow.

In this performance, the piece 『The Meeting: Shower』, which left a strong impression at the 1st Korea International Dance Festival for the Disabled in 2016, is reimagined and brought back to the stage after ten years. Refined through the passage of a decade and re-sculpted with the sensibility of 2026, this renewed work will awaken memories for audiences while also offering entirely new moments of emotional impact.

Wind blows across the barren land.

Rain falls.
Water flows and gathers,
becoming a stream,
becoming a river,
flowing into the sea.
The depths of the water are like the universe.

Rain falls again.
The water that seeps into the earth
moistens the seeds of life.
Life sprouts from the ground.

Buds emerge,
branches grow,
it becomes a tree,
and then a forest.

The 「Korea–China–Japan Project」 is the result of a collaboration that began through 「Beyond Borders」, the 2025 Korea–China–Japan Future Generation Disability Dance Co-Creation Project. Dancers from the three countries, with different cultures, languages, and physical conditions, have worked together throughout the creative process, and this year the project takes on new meaning with the launch of the ‘Asian International Cooperation Platform’. Based on the collaborative work created in 2025 and developed into an expanded form, the project seeks to extend the value of coexistence beyond bodily differences through an integrated intergenerational performance featuring both children, youth, and adults.
